Current Wants

DiCAPac, waterproof all types of cameras. This looks awesome, I've been wanting this for awhile now. There's a dude on lowyat that's selling it for 100 bucks, totally worth it.

This retro cool looking motorcycle helmet for my boyfriend seems like the perfect birthday/ anniversary present.

Also something I've always wanted, I'm big on teeth, now all I need to do is get my teeth whiter and my world would be a better place.

Forever 21 Boots!

I got these last week for only 100 bucks, Forever21 in Pavilion is having a shoe sale, mainly boots. I wanted everything, but alas, I could not just buy all of them so I settled on these beige camel suede ones with a thick rubber sole. They feel extra sturdy and they make me look amazingly tall, I would need some gel insoles for extra comfort.

I also got these, or at least something quite similar to this in black, they didn't have my size, so I ended up buying 1 size bigger, I love booties and for only 50 ringgit, I HAD to get them.

Major buys!

I got it.
A laptop I've been waiting years for. The Asus eeepc 1015PW in PINK.

My boyfriend wanted to buy a laptop for me for the past week, but every time we reach lowyat, nothing seemed to go right, or I just didn't like anything that I saw. I think we went there 3 times before we actually settled on this. I had a list of criteria that had to be met, and most laptops failed to meet my standards. The basic specs of the asus 1015pw, are 2 gb ram, 320 gb hd, dual-core processor, 10.1 inches. And besides it being pink, I think what sold me was the awesome battery life and the cool cover, that and it types amazing for me, I'm a touch typist in the purist sense of the word, so I was very very picky when it came to keyboards. I love it, its light, so I can pretty much take it everywhere, which of course is what I plan to do. I need to get a laptop fan for it and a prettier laptop sleeve and I'm set.

We bought this when all the other shops were closing and I saw the purple one, but they said that there was a pink version, but apparently it was sold out, so I was incredibly sad. But we decided to walk around anyways, and we asked a guy if he knew anyone who had the pink version and he said to go upstairs and there will be a small Asus shop. And we found it, I got it immediately, it was the last pink one in lowyat or so they claim. I'm just extremely happy that I got it, hopefully, it'll be blessing and a start to something big.

Malaysian thrift stores

Okay, I'm a huge fan of thrift stores, I've been shopping at them since I was in America. You can just find the most amazing things if you look hard enough. They don't have vintage or second-hand stores in Malaysia, at least not obviously placed around the city. Crazily enough there's a stall in the Wangsa Maju Carrefour, that is small but sells rows and rows of dresses.

Yes, most dresses look like total shit and should be burned, but I've gotten several dresses that I love. The best part is the fact that they're ONLY 15 ringgits, that's quite a steal if you find something worthy. So far, I've gotten 3 black dresses, one lacy and the other a slinky black thing and a loose one with awesome pockets. A long pink summer dress, a lime green one, a hippie loose purple dress with pockets, a striped maxi dress, a blue 50's-like striped dress and an awesome super colorful kaftan like one. I know there's no trying it out, or really knowing whether these would look good on you. I guess it just depend on what's your style and if you're willing to step out of the box. If I can just get my boyfriend to take a picture of me in these dresses, I'll be able to show the insane possibilities. Of course all these dresses are one of a kind pieces, you can't go riffling through to find your size or another color. And you will have to encounter a lot of uglyness, but its worth it.

Anyways, if anyone knows where I can find more of these stalls, do tell! thanks

The stall in Carrefour is gone. I'm so sad. Now the only place I know where they have it is at Amcorp Mall, a lot more shops and stalls with old stuff. Definitely check it out!

Continent Crossing Friends

Quite a few of my friends are in town or are coming to town and its been real exciting. I have a couple that are staying at my place, they brought me the most amazing collection of candy, ranging from Jolly Ranchers to 100 grands, Charleston chews and Sour Patch Kids. I've been on a sugar high since last Sunday.

She also brought me some make up and brushes, which I bow at her feet for. I got a huge 120 eyeshadow palette, so yay, a bunch of lip smackers, yummy-ness and a travel size brush with zip casing.

I got some of my ELF studio items, the cream blush, that isn't so creamy. purple cream liner, I couldn't help myself. And the ELF stippling brush, cute but I still have to find its practicality.
